The blogsite is to provide info for Science Schoolers, the intake in 1981.
The school was established in Jalan Muara, Negara Brunei Darussalam in 1969. On 23rd September 1971 the school was officially opened by Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien, named Maktab Melayu Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan. The concept of integration was implemented in 1974 with English medium classes were introduced that year.
The name was changed to Maktab Melayu Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan/Sekolah Sains in 1978. Quality education was made available to all children. High achievers and high calibre students from every corner of the state, were then and are still selected to enter the college. They are provided with qualified teachers and modern equipment with emphasis given to science and mathematics to prepare them for the GCE ‘O’ Level Examinations.
The college was again renamed Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan in 1985 as its status was raised to a College to include the Sixth Form in the English medium.
